Edit: after a few months the right earphone suddenly stopped working which was disapointing but i did expect this from previous comments because of this i have chosen to lower my rateing from 5 to 3 star because they were still really good earphone especial for base which is why im leaveing my old comment as to highlight how good they are when they workold feedback:i bought the same pair a couple of years ago from hmv and they were great back then and when i saw them for only 10 pound i was hoping they would be the same and i am not disappointed only been using them for 4 days but they are amazing for sound quality especial when it comes to the bass and the build quality is much better then a standard plastic pair of earphones and i just hope they last longer then some of the reviews suggest but besides that their well worth the price.
Look & feel good, and work very well. I wanted a pair of headphones to use with my acer ultra mobile laptop – as the sound level of this is not great. It was also a candidate to use on my iphone. They were delivered in a nicely packaged box, with the earphones in a clear plastic inner container. There were also 2 pairs of pink ear fittings, in addition to those actually on the earphones. So you have small, medium and large sizes to get the optimum fit. The fittings are easy to change over. The overall impression is of a quality set – wooden body of the earplugs, attractive plaided cord, and a cloth bag to hold them. The bag is useful, and avoids having trailing wires getting in the way. An attractive package, sufficiently classy to make a good present for someone.
Like many other reviews, i concur that these headphones are great, (and not just for the relatively low price). Lots of positives: eye-catching; great, punchy sound; good base; comfortable; novel build materials; pleasant company ethics even. But these little buggers have one design fault; (and your product is only as strong as its weakest point), namely: poorly secured wiresafter reading multiple reviews i can see how others were as perplexed as i was when, after a matter of months of fairly prudent and delicate use; keeping them in their little cotton case etc. , one or both of the headphones cuts out. Upon further inspection i noticed that the only thing absorbing any naturally-occurring tugging on the wires is a little knot someone has tied in the cable just inside the perfectly-formed recycled, wooden casing, (presumably to stop it being pulled out of the earpiece), which, of course, is not secure enough and eventually means the wires slowly work themselves out of the back of the casing over time and eventually the connecting end tears from the soldering points at the back of the speakerfail.
These in ear earphones produced by the house of marley make a fantastic addition to my regular commute. They look great – the cord is fashioned in jamaican/rastafarian colours and best of all, it doesn’t get tangled in my bag – there’s also a cute little pouch to store them in. The wooden sustainable buds are also stylish and eco-friendly. The earphone jack is l-shaped and as a result works ergonomically with my phone. They also come complete with two extra pairs of rubber ear pads to suit most ear sizes and shapes; my pair were pink but you can buy other colours to suit the buyer’s personal taste. The only slight downside and it’s very much a personal thing is that they have a rather base-y sound; obviously i could ferret around in my phone to find the graphic equalizer to amend this but it’s worth considering if you’re not a fan of such sound. In conclusion: a great product at an attractive price, i think they’re great and if they help others via the marley family’s ‘one love’ foundation, so much the better.

‘time will tell’ but the present suggests great things. I bought my bob marley earphones a while ago in an hmv sale for a very reasonable £10. I had not gone out that day with the intention of buying them, in fact i was just looking for a very simple replacement for my apple ear phones, i was however drawn to the design and price. I’ve now been using them for around half a year and i can tell you that they are excellent and i would highly recommend them. In view of their price, i would contend that they are peerless. Furthermore, they are nice and light enough for me to use them for running and their noise cancelling is very good. In fact, i recently received a pair of high end earphones for my sixteenth birthday that cost around £200 and i can tell you that they use the same noise cancelling technology and the difference in sound quality is, although obviously noticeable, not too far removed. My only worry now, in view of the other reviews, is this wire issue. However, as i have yet to encounter this problem i can say that would implore you to buy these. They have served me diligently.
Great looks and feel and the sound isnt bad either. Fans of bass heavy genres such as drum n bass and reggae will appreciate the heavy bottom end on these while some may find it a bit muddy however you do get used to it and especially in noisy environments whare bass is sometimes lost these headphones are perfecti bought them to listen to at work (i work in a factory operating machines) and i like how they are noise isolating so they block out background noise. As for the looks and feel of the product they are excellenti was not disappointed especially considering the price.
Pleasantly surprised by these. Have seen this brand around for a while and always thought they were a bit gimmicky. Old bob has, for some reason, reached an almost god-like status and i thought that these products would be a triumph of style over substance. That turns out not to be the case. The packaging is well thought out. Using recyclable materials and easy to open (unlike many other plastic arrangements where you will almost certainly sever major arteries when attempting access). See the (rather poor quality) image i’ve uploaded. I bought these to replace a pair of jvc earphones (‘xploders’ or something similar) as they’d lost the rubbery bit on the right one. Always thought the jvcs produced a great sound. For the price i don’t think i’ve ever used earphones that are as clear and deal with the whole frequency range as well as these do. Build quality seems good and i like the use of wood, the material chosen to cover the wire and the jack plug. An added bonus is the wee cloth pouch to keep them in. At the moment i’m very pleased with them.
