Philips M1MKIIWT Fidelio Headphone : Lovely headphones!

Wonderful sound, permit down by some very poor design and style options. Prosgreat seem high-quality – i’ve bought equally b&w p3s and bose in-ear headphones, and the audio from these is preferred to possibly. I am not a admirer of much too much bass in my listening, and these supply a extra rounded audio. The cable is wrapped in a material cord that helps make it extremely hard sporting and durableconsas some other assessments condition, the button for the headset is one use on phones. Pause and participate in, it won’t let you alter quantity or skip tracks, which is irritating. The cable that plugs into the headset does so on an extra three. 5ml jack, which can get troublesome (and frequently mistaken for the button)at better volumes you can find a reasonable little bit of seem leakage, so if you happen to be not 1 for sharing what you’re listening much too, you may perhaps be greater off with other headphones on the current market.

Incredibly be sure to, seem great, seem amazing. Did hunt around for greatest acquire, good offer you from amazon warehouse.

Minimal impedance and significant sensitivity can make the m1mkii an desirable choice for moveable players (i use mine on the sony nwa25 and apple iphone six). They are also a single of the most cozy headphones i have worn, the grip is tight but just ideal. New music quality is most effective described as punchy and agency. Bass could not be as neutral for purists but it can be thoroughly clean devoid of ever drowning the audio on better volumes. Sound leakage is minimal and these can be applied even though commuting and even the gymnasium (no sound cancellation needed as the limited fit and foamy pads isolates outside room really well). My main problem are the absence of replacement ear cushions and the fact that the removable wire isn’t really connected to the headphone alone. And though the sound is excellent for the sub £250 selling price selection, i want these to last 12 months and years.

Comments from buyers

“Really, REALLY good, I am very pleased with them, Philips M1 MKII Fidelio Headphones, Excellent Headphones, Great sound, let down by some poor design options, These are amazing headphones!”

Actually impressed at the seems to be, sense and sound top quality. Getting only at any time been a fan of in ear or full coverage head phones i’d hardly ever been too fussed about on ear telephones. Not way too certain why i might had this misconceived notion of on ear headphones not having the amount of audio i wished and i can definitely say i was improper, the bass is amazing without having remaining above the top as it has beautiful lower depth even when employing bass booster on an apple iphone which usually just results in any speaker or headphone to create awful seems. The clarity of all ranges of seems is brilliant also, i located i could hear supplemental ranges of seems in the likes of elbows 1 day like this. In fact the last time i heard excess sounds you weren’t normally listening also was on a b&o program in a really high priced car or truck. This by itself would make these head phone very superior and a bargainalthough they go through sound leakage as they are on ear telephones it really is not as well too much, just don’t crank up what your listening much too if you’d be embarrassed many others hearing your option of mediabeing a eyeglasses wearer there was no distress following putting on for various hrs, no pinching the ears into your frames and chafing your ears what so ever. The wire being covered in black cloth is excellent too, doesnt demonstrate any grime and prevents wires from currently being easily tangled. The wire does disconnect a number of inches from the phones but feel it would be greater if the cable plunged straight into the ear piece than owning a few inches of wire hanging out. The ear parts fee ninety levels allowing for you to fold them fairly flat and set them into the bag you obtained towhee them for effortless stowage in your bag. 1 bizarre point i observed was that they have markings on the within area where they pull downwards to increase with measurements, fine on one side but the other is mostly missing with a ce emblem earning it fully useless, this nonetheless is the only true adverse i can discover for them.

A terrific pair of telephones at the cost point, perfectly well worth thinking of. I owned a pair of b&w p5 for five many years when these died i preferred a little something high-quality but at a improved price tag position (ie less costly). I tried using many pairs of headphones in various outlets until finally i was specified a pair of these to try. In comparison to anything else i’d read at a comparable rate, these gave me a top quality i required on comfy phones. I generally listen to significant good quality audio drama and some prog rock / rock if that allows with the sort of audio i like. What i have identified is these do the job effectively paired with my sony nwz-a15 (the product you see in lots of shops that enable you test headphones) and i am listening to new matters in aged favourites, which to me suggests these aren’t undesirable at all. They usually are not sound cancelling as these types of but in good shape well and make a variation on my day-to-day commute (prepare / tube / bus). They fold absent a little (the earpieces rotate) and occur in a drawstring bag. It keeps them tidy but gives no safety. So significantly, just after a couple of months, i am pretty pleased with these and have advised to colleagues.

A great on-ear working experience. the philips m1mk11bk fidelio headphones with microphone make a quite beneficial perception, from the packaging, as a result of to on-ear ease and comfort and outstanding audio excellent. The sensible black packaging tells you straight away that philips are using these new on-ear headphones seriously. The packaging is smarter than it needs to be and gives you the perception that you are opening a little something particular. Inside seconds i had the headphones out of the box, altered simply using the leather head strap, and on my ears – a new encounter for me, obtaining only formerly utilised in ear ‘phones or complete sizing ‘cans’. The headphones sit easily on the ear and the pounds feels just ideal: considerable sufficient to sit tight, but not a gram extra. Soon after numerous hours of tests i can validate that the memory foam operates very well, and that the headphones are comfy plenty of to have on for very long intervals. The in general look is understated, with only the smallest reference to the model and design title, in a discreet place all around the aluminium circular frame on every ear. Despite the outstanding packaging and wonderful construct high quality, at the coronary heart of any review of headphones is of study course the user’s working experience of the headphones’ seem good quality. I am not an audiophile or a musician, but am a music lover, and have examined the philips fidelio headphones on rock, pop, classical and all the things in concerning, the two direct from a cd and on mp3s ripped in itunes.

Fun, engaging sound and very very comfy. Was looking for some new headphones for home use and saw these had a what hifi award at a decent price. The look of the headphone: these look like a quality product. Really nice orange stitching, cable and foam pads. Love the contrast with the fine leather headband. The headband is sturdy and of good quality. I really like the clicks when adjusting the headband and adds to the overall sense of quality. Fit: this is really important to me. I use in-ear headphones when travelling or at work for portability. At home i like to use on-ear headphones.

Low impedance and high sensitivity makes the m1mkii an attractive option for portable players (i use mine on the sony nwa25 and iphone 6). They are also one of the most comfortable headphones i’ve worn, the grip is tight but just right. Music quality is best described as punchy and firm. Bass may not be as neutral for purists but it’s clean without ever drowning the sound on higher volumes. Noise leakage is minimal and these can be used while commuting and even the gym (no noise cancellation needed as the tight fit and foamy pads isolates outside space very well). My major concern are the lack of replacement ear cushions and the fact that the detachable wire isn’t connected to the headphone itself. And although the sound is great for the sub £250 price range, i want these to last year and years.

Because your ears are worth it. I’ll start by saying i’m no hifi aficionado but i am extremely fussy when it comes to audio. Sound quality is a subjective matter but i’ve always liked the sound produced by philips products. These headphones are superb giving full separation of the whole range allowing you to clearly hear the music as it was intended. The bass is clear without spoiling the mids or highs and the vocals are spot on. If you have average headphones these will allow you to rediscover your music collection all over again. In comparison, i picked up a pair of beats studio over ears for a song a while back and whilst the sound output is strong the bass is overpowering and brings the highs and mids down losing some clarity. Great for dance music, dire for anything else. As mentioned by another reviewer, if you like beats either your ears are broken or you are under the age of 25. Actually he said give these a miss but it’s the same thing.

Excellent clarity of audio sound & well balanced with the mids & trebles. These are definitely lighter in weight compared to the v-moda crossfade which become hot on your ears after a number of hours and the beyerdynamic t51p headphone model as the steel construction can make it feel more heavy on your head. The material of the ear pads is spongey soft and the headband is very, very comfortable with the weight on the ears even if you are wearing glasses. The sound does slightly leak, but normally all expensive headphones or cheap earphones have that same problem unless they are specifically noise isolating ones. These are perfect for private use or in your own room as it will not be louder than a pair of open back headphones. If there is something negative to add to this review then it would be the ear pads or covers, to be easily removable so it can be replaced over time. The wire connection is already removable. Fully recommend to try these headphones to everyone. Recommendation: qed cable or fiio dac amplifier.

I tried many many phones from £100-190. I tried many many phones from £100-190. These were the most comfortable for a person who wears specs.

The best mid price range headphones money can buy. . Compact, balanced tonal qualities without coloration, plenty of bass, as well as mid range vocals. Very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. A great price on amazon too.

Audio quality very good, my pair let down by build quality. . I’ve had these headphones 9vmonths now and they have had pretty light use. By light i mean 10 days on holiday and maybe 10 hours otherwise. They sounded fair out of the box, but, as i tend to, i left them connected to the home hi-fi playing the radio at a mid to high volume for a couple of days to run them in and they certainly sounded better once loosened up. Sonically i am very happy with them indeed for the price (£130) and agree with the what hi-fi award status they received. However, bearing in mind these have been well looked after, the fabric layer of one of the earpieces that is fixed (glue) to the earpad, that covers the driver from view, has become unstuck and (as it was stretched) is now rucked up. This may be repairable with some superglue, however that may well leave a sharp hard finish within the two layers of fabric which could prove uncomfortable or irritating – which the fault most certainly is. Pressing the other headphone fabric in as far as the driver doesn’t seem to stress the fabric or join so it just seems to have come unstuck. It appears that this is a common problem and philips will advise you to contact a repair centre – however they are replacing them with the same so it is likely going to happen again. I’m giving it 5 stars, because these headphones sound very nice and the bass is balanced and always there when needed, but it’s not very strong, barely noticeable, that’s why i’m returning them. I was looking for something with a stronger & juicier bass and philips m1mk11 didn’t satisfy me enough. I looked up some headphones in the similar price range, but with a better bass and i already found and bought the replacement. I bought sennheiser urbanite xl for £150 (reduced from £200 recently) which i think should be much better for me in terms of the bass. If not, i shall keep looking :).

A great pair of phones at the price point, well worth considering. I owned a pair of b&w p5 for five years; when these died i wanted something quality but at a better price point (ie cheaper). I tried several pairs of headphones in several shops until i was given a pair of these to try. Compared to everything else i’d heard at a similar price, these gave me a quality i wanted on comfortable phones. I mainly listen to high quality audio drama and some prog rock / rock if that helps with the kind of sound i like. What i’ve found is these work well paired with my sony nwz-a15 (the model you see in many shops that let you try headphones) and i am hearing new things in old favourites, which to me suggests these aren’t bad at all. They aren’t noise cancelling as such but fit well and make a difference on my daily commute (train / tube / bus). They fold away slightly (the earpieces rotate) and come in a drawstring bag. It keeps them tidy but offers no protection. So far, after a few weeks, i am very pleased with these and have recommended to colleagues.

Light comfy and good looking, good sound makes you feel as if you are there. Works well with my ipod and iphone 4 and automatically switches to phone (cannot comment on other phone makes) when making or receiving calls. The price has dropped a bit with another drop these will be a good buy.

I am very happy and impressed with my new headphones, they’re comfortable, stylish and ooze quality, both in sound and build. I am able to wear my glasses at the same time as the headphones with no discomfort, even for a couple of continuous hours of use. Like many people, music is extremely important to me and a day never goes by without listening to music either at home or on the move and so i can be really quite fussy about how i listen to it as there are very few things worse than hearing great music murdered by poor equipment. These philips headphones deliver my favourite songs beautifully; the bass sound is warm and full and the top range clear and crisp. I’m afraid that i can’t comment on the microphone function as i’ve only used it with my ipod classic (but the button can be used to pause the music). For the kind of heavy use i get out of them, both indoors and out, i’m pleased as punch with these headphones and warmly recommend them.

I was looking for on-ear headphones for under £200. I first tried and excluded everything on demo at currys and john lewis, especially all the “dr dre beats” phones. If you like the beats sound, stop reading now; personally i find them bass heavy, lacking definition with a poor sense of space to the sound. Imho they look good, but sound bad and are overpriced. I did like the sound of the sennheiser momentum 2. 0i over-ears (£269) and the on-ear versions were pretty close (£170), but i thought the build quality of both was disappointing and the fit was too tight for me, so i excluded them. I saw good reviews of some other phones but i was unable to find in a local shop, so i bought them online: philips fidelio m1 mark 1’s (£99 amazon), b&w p3 (£99 white version, john lewis) and akg k-451’s (£38 amazon) and my son and i did an extended comparison at home with my soundmagic e10s in-ears and sennheiser hd280 pro over-ear phones. First up, i don’t like the sound of the sennheiser sd280’s and they are hot and uncomfortable, but they were good for sound isolation when playing in a band. I was looking for on-ears that sounded more like the soundmagic e10’s, not the hd280’s, if that gives some reference point?.

Sleek, quality headphones at a good price. The first priority for any headphones must be sound quality. To my ear, these phones do a great job – clear and uncluttered. They are not bass-heavy, which i like as my tastes are classical and acoustic. I have also found them to be excellent for listening to a movie soundtrack, separating spoken voices clearly from background music and sound effects, and giving good spacial effects. Whilst showing some hi-fi pretensions in their marketing, these are clearly for someone using a smartphone/mp3 player/tablet. The cable is long enough to reach your lap/hip, but not from sofa to hi-fi/home cinema. Having said that, philips sells extension cables that meet both these criteria, and these would fit simply in place of the provided (detachable) cable.

Philips m1 mkii fidelio headphones. I’ve been using these headphones for over three weeks now, allowing them to play in and to give them the assessment period they deserve. I am very impressed with them. I tested them with my usual wide range of music and sound sources; orchestral, opera, big-band, small groups, pop, rock and electronica. I used my hi fi player, cd, mp3 player and pc. They performed well; good bass, a proper balance across the middle and upper frequencies, very good sound separation regardless of the music selected, but with vocal music in particular; clear, natural reproduction – the definition is excellent. The phones have a really solid build-quality, they feel substantial; with metal components, leather headband /ear-pad coverings and a degree of padding that makes them comfortable to wear for extended periods, even if you wear spectacles. There is good sound insulation; i notice other reviewers have reported leakage as an issue; i can’t comment on that, as i tested them alone – i expect that will be a factor dependent on where you will use them. The in-line microphone/control buttons are intended for use with a selection of mobiles, but are not compatible with some makes. I don’t have a suitable phone and controls such as these can be problematic with other devices – like my cherished, but elderly mp3 player.
