Philips Foldie On Ear CitiScape Headband Headphones – Soft, Comfy and Well Padded

Ok sound, seems to be a issue of taste and regular high-quality. These are head phones created to listen to music saved on your android smart cellphone, mainly even though you are out and about. With a funky aqua/ turquoise (sorry philips but not eco-friendly) color matched to a tan, bogus leather-based look, these are colours you can possibly appreciate or dislike but do give a hint these are aimed at young, trend mindful people. They are quite gentle in weight (suggesting only ordinary construct top quality) and fold back, so producing them pretty simple to use on the move. The match is alright, perhaps a small restricted throughout the head and do slip when i fit them on top of my hatused largely for listening to chatting guides, i uncovered the seem distinct and unmuffled. With audio bass just isn’t excellent – not quite deep or tuneful and the top close is a tiny strident. But these are not intended to present a higher high quality listening knowledge but enjoyment and easy listening and they are alright for that. In ear get in touch with top quality is identical to spoken term and this pretty suitable. For me it can be down to rate and overall look: if appropriate then an okay buy. If not, no apparent explanation to purchase them but don’t complain if you get a set from santa this christmas :-).

I a short while ago broke my citiscapes which was a bummer but i replaced with these. They are not as comfortable but i appreciate the funky colors. The fabric covering on the wire also will become unattached in a day or two from the socket.

Looks good, feels firmly comfy and it does terminate outdoors noise for the listener really properly. Tight bass and quite great dynamic range, but it does make sufficient noise to those people close to the listener, so it is really not great for public transport in my viewpoint, but superior if going for walks about in noisy streets. I also like the non tangle wire.

  • Stylish phones with decent performance
  • Decent sound, some leakage issues, colours are unique
  • Look Good, Sound Clean
  • Soft, Comfy and Well Padded
  • So – So Phones

A genuinely snug set of headphones for extended dress in. The sound is energetic but lacks depth. Good detail but the bass is a small disappointing taking into consideration the price tag. They are not sound insulating, but the ear pads would seem to hold out the even worse. Audio leakage just isn’t far too lousy possibly. I am not eager on the retro seem of these, but that is simply just personalized preference. The addition of a microphone for cellphone phone calls is a definite plus place. Phones appear to be very well crafted, and even with their appear, seem to be genuinely properly built.

Features of Philips Foldie On Ear CitiScape Headband Headphones – Green/Brown

  • 40mm high performance neodymium drivers for sound clarity
  • Closed acoustic design for greater bass and noise isolation
  • Flexible metal arm designed for long listening comfort
  • On-ear soft cushions for added comfort
  • Switch from music to phone calls with built-in microphone

I am no audiophile, but definitely take pleasure in high good quality sound. I also check out not to get far too hung up about specs/manufacturer names or marketing procedures. If anything a thing appears superior, that is plenty of for me. I am quite familiar with philips as a mood lighting enterprise, and this was my very first set of headphones from them. The headphones are rather lightweight and relaxed, while a minimal tight. I do not have a significant head by any measure, so can visualize that these headphones might be a minor limited for some. The audio top quality is typical at ideal, even though suitable for this value range. Bass is rather low, but on a favourable be aware, music was really very clear and there was pretty much no distortion, even on a superior quantity placing.

The product illustrated and purchased is black and gold the phones which arrived areturquoise and tan. Never brain, the colour is just not truly an difficulty for me but the overallquality and physical appearance is rather lousy (the plastic parts appear notably. Plastic)supplied the hefty seventy pound advisable rate tag. The non-twisty cable is a moreover. Sound-clever the telephones are fairly excellent the ear pads are comfy and produceno discernable leakage (i can’t stand the tch-tch-tch of fellow-travellers’ sociopathy). My very last pair of over-ear phones (sony) were being forty quid and superior in each and every way for the cost. If you might be wanting for new phones store about there are much superior promotions to be experienced.

Nice quality headphones for the price, and the retro cord won’t tangle which is a real bonus. I really like the retro look of these headphones. I received a set via the amazon vine programme. The set i received were not the black ones shown, but we’re in fact tan and aqua blue. At first i wasn’t too sure about the colour combination, but it worksout the box, they’re really nice quality. Gold plated jack plugs, reasonably sturdy feeling plastic, nicely padded earpieces and particularly nice touches include perforated leather-effect wrapping round the headband (reminds me of the handlebars of my first racing bike) and fabric-wrapped headphone cord/lead. Both these touches really finish off the retro effect nicely, and the fabric-wrapped lead doesn’t tangle. A cool retro nod which addresses a modern world annoyancethe headphones are comfortable, they seal nicely over the ear and really block out external noise. Nice round sound, and bass is reasonable too.

These give a very good sound quality, we were very impressed. It sounds similar to the sound system in our car, with a good bass without having to make any adjustments to it at all. The headphones are comfy to wear and soft on the ears. You can’t hear any of the music from out sound, even standing next to the headphones wearing person – they keep it contained very well which is good while listening on the train commuting etc you don’t want other people to hear your musicthe design we received is a vintage look, different than the picture here which is plain black. Ours are pale blue and brown with patterns, so do check to make sure you are getting the correct one. I love the look of ours, as its a bit different and unique but may not be everyone’s taste as it does stand out a bit. The wire has an inbuilt mic so you can take calls while wearing these headphones, and it plugs easily into our iphone 5s. Very convenient and good quality over all – would recommend them if you’re looking for over ear headphones.

There is a real market for quality headphones and the difficult sector is the mid range are where these philips items end up slap bang in the middle of. That pretty much ensures you have a huge available choice and to stand out headphones have to be really special. And whilst these philips items are very good they are not so far ahead of the competition as to make them an obvious pick. However there are some plus points that justify a purchase. Firstly they are very well made. I have other far more expensive headphones and to be frank, the build quality seems to be very similar. I’m not going to be using these during an extreme sports competition so it’s unlikely that they will fall apart in my tenure. They have a detachable chord. Now, you may ask why this is useful but it does mean that you can probably add a bit more life to these headphones.

Never mind, the colour isn’t really an issue for me but the overallquality and appearance is pretty poor (the plastic parts look particularly. Stylish phones with decent performance. These headphones are available in a number of different colourways – i received a pair in teal and brown: philips foldie on ear citiscape headband headphones – green/brown. They seem well made and the design details (like the steering-wheel-style covering on the headband) are well implemented. Let’s look at the good features:- the wires are covered in fabric braiding which makes them a bit stiff, but stops them tangling and gives them a nicely retro look and feel. – the cable plugs into the left headphone so if the wire catches on something it can pull out rather than breaking. – the remote control button and microphone both work well with a nexus 7 tablet. Philips claim compatibility with a wide range of android smartphones. – the sound quality is pretty much as philips describe it – well-balanced and detailed. It’s not as lively as it could be but neither does it have the booming, thudding bass that ‘phones with a letter b on the side offer.

Pretty standard set of headphones, but nice to look at and very comfortable with well padded soft ear muffs, and adjustable padded headband. Kink free cable which actually detaches (i like that) is probably more for someone intending to travel with them, and as another person pointed out in their review, a carry bag of some sort would have been nice. I don’t use them on the phone so can’t comment on the microphone. My aunt who listens to a lot of “books on cd” loves the sound quality, which is crisp and clear. It also has enough bass adjustment for the music lover. My stumbling block is the price, and add to that the seemingly endless line of very similar headphones???for example philips shl5305bk fixie on ear stereo headphones with mic – black has a list of nice features like:40mm high quality neodymium drivers for deep and rich bassclosed acoustic design for greater bass and noise isolationflexible metal arm designed for long listening comforton-ear soft cushions for added comfortswitch from music to phone calls with built-in microphonesound familiar?. Well it should because it’s word for word the description of these headphones. Only difference is that these are almost double the price?.And i don’t believe a detachable cord and ability to fold is worth the extra money.

Soft, comfy and well padded. The headphones themselves are really nice and look lovely with the gold writing on them. I don’t like in-ear headphones and try to avoid them whenever possible as i find them uncomfortable and the cushions around the ear on these headphones are soft, comfy and well padded so even after wearing for some time i haven’t felt like i have the ‘red ear effect’ you sometimes get with on-ear headphones. They are foldable which is brilliant although a bit disappointing they don’t come with any sort of bag to store them in even if it was a cheap cotton one. I really like the design even if the colour isn’t what i would have personally chosen and the lead is made of a fabric rather than plastic lead and therefore doesn’t appear to tangle as much. The headphones are as with every headphone adjustable and fit really nicely and the headband is very nicely cushioned too. I am not using these with my phone to make calls but more to listen to music and so can’t comment on the microphone but the music i have listened to has been clear even when loud and so i think that these are a really nice pair of headphones just not the colour i would have chosen. I actually received these headphones in a different colour in error (green and brown) instead of the black ones but the headphones are identical apart from that.

These headphones look really funky with their two tone brown and light blue. I would say that the first thing i noticed was that there was no instructions with the product, so i had to ask my son to work out what the button on the cord was. We found out that to press once = pause, twice = next song, three times = previous song, which is quite handy especially if you are our walking/jogging. The head phones are really comfortable, although i had to move them around a bit to feel comfortable as i have an upper ear piercinglove the way they fold away, easily portable, would have been nice to have a small bag included to keep them in. Overall a nice product, look good, feel comfortable and produces a good sound without anybody on the outside being able to hear.

Soft, comfy and well padded. I received these headphones in error instead of philips foldie on ear citiscape headband headphones – black and to be honest on first impressions with the colour i don’t think i actually would have initially chosen them but the colour does grow on you a little bit. They are more a tan brown and duck egg blue/teal type colour as opposed to the green/brown they are meant to be and if you look at the product pictures they are a a more orangy brown than the pictures and a greener shade than the pictures too. That being said about the colour the headphones themselves are really nice. I received these earphones free from amazon in exchange for an impartial honest review.

Peculiar colour scheme and muddy bass. I received these free through the amazon vine programme. My first impressions on receiving these were far from overwhelmingly positive. I really, really don’t like the odd colour combination of mid-brown and light teal. Ugliness of the colour scheme aside, these are actually quite nice to wear. They’re soft, comfortable and well padded, and the over-ear sections are a good fit. The folding feature is good – easy to use and neat. The sound quality is only so-so. Muddy bass, strident top end. These are not some of the most expensive headphones on the market, but there’s a lot of choice to be had in this price range.

I am no audiophile, but definitely appreciate high quality sound. I also try not to get too hung up over specs/brand names or marketing techniques. If something something sounds good, that is enough for me. I am very familiar with philips as a mood lighting company, and this was my first set of headphones from them. The headphones are fairly lightweight and comfortable, although a little tight. I do not have a large head by any measure, so can imagine that these headphones may be a little tight for some. The sound quality is average at best, although suitable for this price range. Bass is quite low, but on a positive note, music was very clear and there was literally no distortion, even on a high volume setting.
